And 3 is the magic number...

Well, since our last post, several things have happened. I will start by apologizing because this might be a long post. First in the news- Cade updates. Cade is now a little over 3 months old and has been sleeping much better! Let's just say I am a very happy person. Now this doesn't mean everything is perfect. He is still very fussy, but he is also happy more often now as well. If only you could see him play and talk...I'm not one to brag, but our little man is the cutest little stinker. One of these days we will get the software to be able to post videos.

So, we have learned that Cade likes to bury his face when he sleeps; therefore, stomach sleeping is what he prefers. And how long did it take me to figure that out... I was just too paranoid to let him sleep on his stomach before, considering what all the doctors say now about stomach sleeping and SIDS and all. But since he can lift his head up, I feel better about it..and also considering the fact that we have a monitor that detects his movement and breathing while he sleeps. I know, I know- some of you are thinking that is kind of extreme and ridiculous, but no ma'am I disagree. I worry about everything so much that now I can sleep and not worry. If anyone is interested, the product is called Babysense V. It has 2 sensors that you put under the baby's mattress which hooks up to a control unit that you hook on to the outside of the crib. When you put the baby to sleep, just turn it on and a little green light will flash to let you know he is breathing. If he stops for more than 20 seconds, a loud alarm goes off. Pretty nifty, huh? The only time it has gone off for us is when we forget to turn it off when we take Cade out of his crib. It is one of the best baby inventions ever made. That and pacifiers..and bear suits..and diapers, but that is a given. Can't you tell that baby is what consumes my life right now?

This is what it looks like.

And this is Cade's bear suit. It is WONDERFUL. Whenever it is freezing cold outside, we just stick him in this before we leave, and he stays nice and toasty.

In other news:

Cousins Jeffrey and Amber Stifflemire had their baby almost 3 weeks ago on Feb.25th. His name is Deisen Kent and is so cute and little. Sorry, I have no picture to post. My camera was messed up when we went to visit.

Stephen, Jill, and the girls came to visit a week and a half ago. We had fun just hanging out for the day. Jill and I caught up while the boys bonded by doing their favorite past time- video games. We forgot to take pictures of all the kids together (since we have one now too), so we just took pictures of Cade later that night:)

And here he is. If you couldn't tell, I just can't get enough.

And for the best news of all...........drumroll...................WE ARE BUYING A HOUSE!!!! We are so, so excited to be buying our first house. We found one that is in a good location and that we absolutely love! I never thought we would find such a good house in our low price range. We are closing April 30th. There will be more news and pictures to come! Hooray!

Hooray! So glad you have a blog. I've spent the last fifteen minutes getting caught up on your life. Cade is PRE-CIOUS! Im sorry for the troubles with the colic, but though it doesn't seem like it now, you'll look back on this time and wonder how it all went so quickly. They really don't stay little long! And you'll forget all the sleepless nights and moments of utter frustration, and thank goodness we do or we'd never have others! I'm adding you to my blog roll! Check ours out at www.rolltideennisfamily.blogspot.com . Congrats on the house! SO exciting!
